About the band
True passion leads to results
Athoris is a young metalcore band from Arad, founded on January 2, 2025. Their music is a form of release—intense, honest, and filled with inner conflict. Drawing influences from Goodbye to Gravity, Avenged Sevenfold, Trivium, Periphery, Lamb of God, and Killswitch Engage, Athoris blends modern aggression with authentic vulnerability.
On October 30, they released a three-track EP consisting of cover songs, symbolizing a tribute to the band Goodbye to Gravity. Additionally, on November 13, they released their debut album titled Downfallen, preceded by the singles Agonize, Alive, and Reflection. Athoris is carving its path in the Romanian metal scene—step by step, stage by stage.
What is „Downfallen” ?
Downfallen is the debut studio album by the Romanian metalcore band Athoris, released on 13 November 2025. The record contains 10 tracks and runs for about 49 minutes, blending modern metalcore aggression with emotional intensity and raw vulnerability.

What determined us the release this EP?
Goodbye To Gravity is one of our biggest inspiration when it comes to song writing. In 30.10.2025 there were officially 10 years from the Colectiv incident and we couldn’t miss the oportunity to show the appreciation we have for this band. So, we decided to release this EP that includes three cover songs from GTG, these being their biggest hits, The Day We Die, The Cage and Shadow Puppets.

What is different from the original?
This album wants to be a more emphasized version of the original, containing two completley new songs, these being Open Skies and Mark My Words. Open Skies has a more relaxed modern touch, while Mark My Words is for the more hardcore fans out there.
The additional tracks in the deluxe edition are acoustic versions of two songs (Alive and Downfallen, Pt. 1), offering listeners alternative arrangements that emphasize melody and atmosphere over heavier instrumentation.
